Have you ever read the ingredients of your shampoo..? If you haven’t then let me tell you it’s scary. There are many toxic chemicals in shampoos which are linked to hair fall, irritation, illness and even cancer. The shampoo is something which most of us use on regular basis. And if unknowingly you are using a shampoo which is toxic, it is doing more harm to your hair than good. Using such shampoo will gradually weaken your hair and you might suffer from dandruff, irritation, hair fall etc. It is very important to use a shampoo which is gentle on hair and the underlying skin.
So which shampoo is the best, let’s check out.
I have categorized shampoos into four categories. Let see.

These shampoo contains more than 10 toxic substances in it. It also has strong fragrance which is artificially added. Other than that it also has cosmetic colors. Some have SLES ( sodium laureth sulphate) and some has SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate). However, SLES is a milder version of SLS and both are detergents and should be avoided.

Example :

Garnier, Tresemme, Head and shoulders, Loreal Paris, Pantene,Dove,Clinic plus, Sunsilk,All clear. It is so dissappointing that even the so popular herbal shampoo, Himalaya herbals, vatika and nyle naturals too include in this list. Park avenue’s beer shampoo also includes in this list.

These shampoos are better than catogary 1 but still far from the best. It contains 6-7 toxic chemicals. Also has added color and strong fragrance.

Example :

Johnson baby, Wow shampoo but if we compare these two Wow shampoo is better than the other.

These are the shampoos who try to fool their customers using oversmart marketing tactics. They only list the 10% of their ingredients list on the back side of contents. If these shampoos are made from 100% pure extracts ( herbal) then why do they need to hide the 90% of the ingredients. And why does most of the time 90% of ingredients falls in the SOAP base. If only 10% of ingredients are from ayurvedic herbs then sorry to say it doesn’t mean that it is an ayurvedic shampoo. Such malpractices doesn’t make the shampoo trustworthy. The bottom line is this it has incomplete list of ingredients, good orbad ? Can’t say.

Example :

Lever ayush, Patanjali shampoos, biotique advanced ayurveda shampoo.

This catogary has the shampoo which can be used on a daily basis without worrying about the side effects. They have no toxic chemicals. These are herbal shampoos in real sense. They have no toxic chemicals, no added colours, no strong fragrances. These are the shampoos which i can recommend to any body of any hairtype without any doubt.

Example :

The khadi naturals. They come in many variants and all are equally good.
